Staff

Director:  Brian D. Sheehe  

Brian is a graduate of Van Buren HS (1990) and Ohio Northern University (1994) with a Bachelors in Music Education.  In 1994 Brian took his first teaching job with Montpelier Schools. There he taught 5-12 Band and general music.  He also founded their indoor drumline and they competed at Morehead State University's "A Day of Marching Percussion" for three years.  In 1997 he came to Findlay City Schools and began work at Donnell Middle School as well as working with Findlay High School Indoor Drumline "Pyskosis" for two seasons.  In 1998 he started the SHOCKWAVE Drumline.  The first year they had nine members in the group.  Over the years SHOCKWAVE has earned several medals including State Champion Gold Medalists in 2009, 2010 and 2019.  SHOCKWAVE has also been WGI Semi Finalists in 2021 and WGI World Championships Finalists in 2022.  Brian was also named OIPA Percussion Director of the Year in both 2010 and 2012.  Brian is a four time Golden Apple nominee, the 2004 Bruce B. Hill award winner, Who's Who in Music Education and the Arlington VFW 2012 Teacher of the Year.  Brian's groups have participated in FIPA, NOIPA, MEPA, OIPA and WGI.  In addition to being the director, Brian writes the drill as well as works with the pit.  Brian has previously served on the OIPA Board of Directors and served three years on the OIPA Board as Second Vice-President, Secretary and as an At Large Member.  This season Brian will serve his fifth year on the OIPA Board of Directors as the Secretary.  Brian has twice served as the webmaster for OIPA.

Bass Drums/GE:  Bob Grandbois

Bob started in Drum Corps in 1973.  He marched with Avant Guarde Drum Corps in 1979.  He was in the in Coast Guard Band in 1980.  Then he marched with the Boston Crusaders in 1981 and 1982 and then was on the staff in 1983.  Bob is a currently an alumni of the Crusaders.  He marched with the Connecticut Hurricanes (Senior Corps) in 1984.  He has marched with a Drill team since 1990 (currently holding State and National Championships).  He has been with the group since 2004.  He is a Jeweler here in Findlay and has been doing this for 25 + years.

Battery:  Colin Sullivan

This will be Colin's second year on Staff with SHOCKWAVE as our snare tech.  He is a member of Connexus (PIW) Drumline.  We are excited  to have him on the team!

Battery:  Jack Hamburger

This will be Jack's second year on Staff with SHOCKWAVE as our tenor tech.  He is a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps.  He has been a great addition!

Battery:  Joe Elam

This will be Joe's second year on Staff with SHOCKWAVE as a Battery floater.  He is  an Alum of SHOCKWAVE with both the visual and Bass Drum line.  We are happy to have him back!

Zoe Mason: Pit & Regional A Director

Zoe is an alumni of our program as well as the Findlay High School Marching Band, Findlay Indoor Drumline as well as many Band Activities.  She has been a great addition to our team and we are excited to see what she can do with our Regional A program!

Bass Drums: Peggy Grandbois

Peggy marched with Marion Cadets (Drum Corps) and was a member and staff member of General Putnam's Men (Drum corps) in NW Ohio.  She was on the staff of the Boston Crusaders 1982-1983.  

She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Bowling Green State University.  She has been with the group since 2004


Uniforms/Spirit Wear/Props:  Crystal Adkins

This will be Crystal's first year on staff with SHOCKWAVE and we are very excited to have her on board!

Truck Crew:  Stan Johns & Chad Adkins

Stan is the Lead truck Dad and in his second stint on staff with SHOCKWAVE.  His son Seth was a member of SHOCKWAVE during his first tour of duty with SHOCKWAVE.  This will be Chad's first year on staff as a truck dad.
